Alea Brown

Ballet & Rehearsal Assistant

Alea’s love for dance began during movement classes at The Little Gym and New Life Church. Just before she turned 10, Alea took her first classes at Ballet Society with Ms. Patty and Ms. Amy, and immediately fell in love with the studio and teachers. She continued through the school until high school graduation in 2021, participating in Colorado Youth Ballet, Connexus Dance Collective, Praise Dance Ensemble, and NHSDA. Some of Alea’s favorite roles at Ballet Society have included Lead Arabian, Cygnets, Sugarplum Fairy, Snow Queen, Carlotta Grisi, the Great Egret, and several feature roles in Connexus Dance Collective works. She has also very much enjoyed various choreographic projects. Alea matriculated at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts to continue her classical ballet training with Eva Draw this past fall. After experiencing a dance injury at the end of the fall semester, she chose to rehab at home before returning to school in the fall. She is incredibly grateful to be able to return to Colorado Ballet Society to teach and work as Ms. Kate’s rehearsal assistant while she completes the rehabilitation process. Alea hopes to continue to inspire the next generation of dancers through performing and teaching!
