Primary Division
Our Primary Division classes are a great way to introduce your child to the fundamentals of dance.
These weekly classes offer a creative approach to learning movement to music.
While nurturing your child's instinctive joy of movement and freedom of expression, we are also strengthening muscles, introducing basic vocabulary, and developing their sensitivity to music.
Teachers and assistants use a "hands-on" approach that is vital to teaching young dancers as they develop their skills at their own pace within the group.
Colorado Ballet Society is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high-quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
The Primary Division 2022-2023 season runs from August 15, 2022 - May 27, 2023, with open enrollment all year long.
The enrollment deadline for performance participation is February 15th. Students must be meeting minimum attendance requirements by January 1st. Students enrolled January 1st and on must have instructor approval in order to perform.
