Ford trained at Colorado Ballet Society under the direction of Patricia Hoffman before joining Chicago-based Ballet 5:8. There he became a member of the professional company and had the opportunity to work with several critically acclaimed teachers and choreographers. He had the privilege of dancing in Julianna Rubio Slager's BareFace, Gospel Impressions, Golden Sessions, and Butterfly, as well as in many other roles including being featured in Slager's Beyond the Nutcracker. Ford also was highlighted as a soloist in Solace by Matthew Rushing, Associate Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and performed a featured role in Wind by nationally renown choreographer, Steve Rooks.

During his professional performing career Ford also taught ballet and realized his passion for seeing students grow in the art form technically and artistically, but more importantly as whole individuals.
