Ballet and Acro

Elisa began dancing at the age of 6 at the Academy of Dance in Yankton, South Dakota under the direction of former soloist with the Polish National Dance Company, Dorota Dannenbring, and Kathryn Rose Reimler. As a young dancer, Elisa was cast in the lead roles of “Clara” and “Snow Crystal” and also performed many other parts in Yankton’s biennial Nutcracker Ballet.


In 2010, Elisa received a full merit scholarship to attend Ballet Magnificat’s Summer Dance Intensive in Jackson, MS. At age 18, Elisa moved to Syracuse, New York where she was accepted into the trainee program at “Light of the World Ballet,” under the direction of Ashley Rollinson. Elisa was privileged to tour internationally with their full-time professional ballet company to Peru, where she danced and ministered in theaters and in street performances in some of Peru’s largest cities.


In 2011, after a year in New York, Elisa auditioned and was accepted into the trainee program at Ballet Magnificat! in Jackson, MS where she was trained under the direction of Ballet Magnificat! founder and Alpha Company Artistic Director, Kathy Thibodeaux, Omega Company Artistic Director and resident choreographer, Jiri Voborsky, and Trainee Director, Cassandra Voborsky, as well as Jennifer Tyndall, Nissa Kilman, and Hannah Beaver. As a second year trainee, Elisa was chosen by Ballet Magnificat’s leadership to receive the Rose Faucher Scholarship.


In 2012, Elisa was one of the first members of Ballet Magnificat’s Events Company and traveled the U. S., performing at large venues including: Pepsi Center, Denver, CO, Sprint Center, Kansas City, MO, Alamo Dome, San Antonio, TX, American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX, and at other large cities such as Anaheim and Sacramento, CA, St. Paul, MN, and Spokane, WA as a part of the national “Women of Faith” tour.


Elisa was promoted into the Alpha Company in the spring of 2013 and performed in Snow QueenThe Scarlet CordDeliver UsMost Incredible Christmas, and The Arrival, and had lead roles and pas set on her in Light Has Come, and Stratagem. Elisa toured throughout the U. S., Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Canada, Israel, Honduras, Cayman Islands, and Brazil—teaching workshops at the university level, at recreational and pre-professional dance studios, and to children on the streets of Honduras before retiring from Ballet Magnificat! in 2018.


Elisa loves working with children and looks forward to teaching and sharing her passion for excellence in dance with her students out of the overflow of her love of God, which motivates all she does.
