Emma Lepore

Emma Lepore was born and raised in Rhode Island, where she began to dance soon after walking. As a young dancer Lepore took every class and style of dance she could fit into her schedule until high school when she focused on ballet and tap technique. In 2015, she received her B.A. in Dance from DeSales University. Lepore then spent two months in Quito, Ecuador volunteering in the dance program at a performing arts school for children with disabilities. Lepore earned her M.A. in Dance from Texas Woman’s University where she studied methods of healing in dance/movement organizations. Lepore has taught dance in Ecuador, South Africa, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Texas. In the fall of 2017, Lepore moved to Colorado Springs to direct the dance program at Mitchell High School. In the Springs Lepore has choreographed several musicals for Mitchell High School, and worked as a choreographer with United Methodist Church COS, and Springs Ensemble Theatre. Lepore performs with Ormao Dance Company and she is currently teaching at Colorado Ballet Society, Mitchell High School, and Ormao Dance School. As a teacher/choreographer/performer Lepore cherishes the positive impact of dance in developing strong communities and facilitating a space that supports each of our movement journeys.
