Jackie Brouwer is a native of Colorado Springs, and began dancing at the age of 10. Jackie trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz and worship dance under the direction of Gillian Klette, Patty Hoffman, and Holly Marble. She danced principal roles in Sleeping Beauty, Copellia, Midsummers Night Dream, The Nutcracker, Paquita, and Cinderella. In 2010 and 2011, Jackie placed in the Denver Ballet Guild competition. In 2011, she was awarded the first place scholarship in the Esther Geoffrey Young Dancers Competition. Jackie spent her summers attending dance intensives at Colorado Ballet Society, Houston Ballet, City Ballet of San Diego, and Ballet Magnificat! with renowned teachers such as: David Howard, Evelyn Cisneros, Stanley Holden, Nikoloz Makhateli, Robert Sher-Machherndl, Versa Timashova, Ahita Ardalan Bergman, Claudio Muñoz, Susan Bryant, and Sally Rojas. Jackie moved to Jackson, Mississippi in 2011 to begin the Ballet Magnificat! Trainee Program. In 2013, Jackie was promoted to the Omega company. During that time she had the opportunity to perform and teach all across the United States as well as Canada, Honduras, Armenia, Croatia, Russia, The Czech Republic, Poland, South Africa, Serbia, Germany, Italy, and Austria. At the end of July 2016, Jackie retired from Ballet Magnificat! and moved back to Colorado Springs. Jackie joined the Colorado Ballet Society staff in 2017.
