Jaclyn Weber
Ballet & Contemporary
Jaclyn Weber hails from sunny South Florida where she received her formal dance training in Fort Lauderdale at Dance Dimensions beginning at the age of 3. After high school and many years of classical ballet and jazz training, she went on to the University of South Florida where she received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Dance performance in choreography, this time with a focus on Modern and Contemporary dance. She’s performed in works by Ohad Naharin of Batsheva Dance and Maurice Causey of Nederlands Dance Theater and Royal Swedish Ballet. She spent a summer abroad studying in Paris under the instruction of Michael Foley learning repertoire by Jiri Kylian amongst other acclaimed choreographers. After she finished her undergrad she returned to teaching and hasn’t looked back since. She received her Yoga Teaching certification in 2016 to further her sense of body awareness and instruction and loves to incorporate yoga practice into her classes. Her goal for her students is to experience joy, confidence, and a sense of gratitude for the body and its abilities, always reminding them that "we are so lucky to move and even luckier to dance.”
