Kaylee Cheney

Ballet & Sparkle Dance

Kaylee has lived in Colorado Springs her whole life and still marvels at beauty of the mountain range every morning. Dancing has always been a part of her life. She began dancing at the age of three and has always believed that dancing is an amazing way to express oneself. It has helped her through so many different scenarios. Especially when it comes to her health. She suffers from a disease known as Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a life-threatening disease that affects her lungs, digestive system, lymphatic system, and other vital organs. Dancing has helped her stay healthy, keeping her lungs strong and helping her maintain weight and her Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes (CFRD).

Currently, she is working towards a degree in American Sign Language (ASL) in hopes of becoming an interpreter. She has attended Pikes Peak Community College since August of 2019 and has truly enjoyed going their ASL Interpreting Program so far. Kaylee also works at Colorado Ballet Society as a Sparkle Teacher and says it is such a joy to watch students grow and find their passion for dance!
