Laci Landry, originally from Michigan, has always loved to dance and began taking class at age 6. She focused on her classical and modern training when she transferred to the Flint School of Performing Arts in 2000. While there, Laci performed in many contemporary and classical ballets under the direction of Karen Mills Jennings with lead roles in The Firebird, The Nutcracker, and works by Darrell Grand Moultrie. She also performed and toured in the US and parts of Europe with the school's pre-professional company, Flint Youth Ballet. After graduating high school, Laci moved to New York to study at SUNY Purchase in the dance conservatory where she worked towards her BFA with a concentration in ballet and modern performance. She studied many modern techniques such as Graham, Limon, and Cunningham.  While at Purchase, Laci performed in George Balanchine's Four Temperaments and did freelance work with Lane Gifford & Co. In 2008, Laci moved to Colorado Springs to join Ballet Emmanuel and was with the company for 5 years performing, touring, and teaching. Laci also executed event planning, booking, and marketing for the company and spent a few years as tour planner. Laci is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. She is also a certified and licensed Progressing Ballet Technique Instructor. Laci has been teaching at Colorado Ballet Society since 2013 and is co-manager of the Connexus Dance Collective.
