Mary Rodgers
Ballet & Sparkle Dance
Mary grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she began her early dance training at age 4. She quickly developed a joy for dancing, as praise to the Lord. Upon transitioning to Canyon Concert Ballet at age 13, Mary honed her technical skills through extensive and varied technique classes. She also performed in The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Snow White. In 2019, Mary graduated with her BA in Dance from Colorado State University. She received quality instruction in ballet and modern technique, pedagogy, improvisation, repertoire, choreography, and dance history. During her time at CSU, she was invited to choreograph for dance sections of the music department’s opera performance, Orfeo ed Euridice. She also served as Vice President and President of the Dance Student Advisory Committee. Additionally, she taught classes and coached a performance team at Lighthouse Dance Company. After graduation, she and her husband followed the Lord’s call to teach English overseas for two years. Mary was humbled to learn that her identity is not rooted in her skills or title as a dancer but in Christ. She is excited to get back into the dance community and desires to continue teaching, performing, and choreographing for Him.
