Secondary & Upper Divisions
Classes within the Secondary and Upper Divisions are designed to
-
build interest in dancing
-
strengthen muscles
-
build vocabulary
-
develop a sensibility of the artistic and performance qualities that make up dance

In the Secondary and Upper Divisions, students are introduced to a more demanding level of study as classes meet two or more times a week and incorporate elements from major training styles including Royal Academy of Dance, Cecchetti, and Vaganova.

We also introduce training in progressive levels of Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Broadway, and Worship to offer students a well-rounded dance education.
Colorado Ballet Society is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high-quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
