Connexus Dance Collective (CDC) is the resident pre-professional contemporary dance company of Colorado Ballet Society (CBS). Established to provide exceptional performance opportunities and advanced contemporary training, CDC is designed for dedicated dancers seeking to expand their artistry through diverse movement styles, creative exploration, and professional performance experiences.

Dancers ages 10–18 (Contemporary Levels 3b-8) are invited to audition for the company. Once accepted, members commit to an increased level of training through additional classes, rehearsals, and performance opportunities while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, artistry, and dedication. Company dancers serve as ambassadors for CBS both in the studio and throughout the community.

CDC members perform original contemporary works in Colorado Ballet Society productions and community performances. Repertoire features a wide range of contemporary styles and creative processes, allowing dancers to develop versatility, artistic voice, musicality, and strong collaborative skills. The program is designed for dancers who aspire to continue their training beyond high school through collegiate dance programs, trainee programs, commercial dance opportunities, or professional concert dance companies.

Under the artistic direction of Nichole Bennis, CDC collaborates with faculty and guest choreographers to create innovative new works that challenge, inspire, and prepare dancers for today's evolving dance industry.
