Pointe is an essential component of pre-professional ballet training, designed to develop the strength, technique, artistry, and endurance required for classical ballet. Dancers build upon the principles established in ballet technique class while refining proper alignment, articulation of the feet and ankles, balance, coordination, and control.
At our school, we prioritize safety, education, and strength through our comprehensive Pre-Pointe program to ensure dancers are fully prepared for this exciting milestone. Before beginning pointe work, dancers must successfully complete physical and written assessments and receive approval from the Artistic Director, confirming they have demonstrated the technical proficiency, physical readiness, strength, and maturity necessary for safe advancement.
Pointe training progresses systematically with each level promotion, allowing dancers to build confidence, endurance, artistry, and technical excellence while developing the skills required for advanced classical repertoire and pre-professional performance.
